Throughline Talk to us

Divorce Clarity

One real conversation. A clear story. Your next step.

For the days between “this is happening” and walking into that first consultation — whether you made the decision, or it was made for you.

Or ask us something first — no booking needed.

The anti-meter

We surface what’s buried in your story.

Not the whole thing. The parts your case actually turns on. You pour it all out; we find your real asks and the questions that matter, and hand them back, organized.

Nobody here earns more if your divorce takes longer.

Everyone else in a divorce bills by the hour, so the longer you stay lost, the more they make. We’re the one party at the table with no meter.

$199  founding price

You pay after. And only if it actually helped. You decide that — not us. No deposit, no card on file, no meter. If it didn’t help, you don’t pay: nothing is held, and there’s nothing to cancel.

The standard price is $349. The first 20 clients pay $199, because they’re helping us prove this works — and we’ll ask them to tell us, bluntly, whether it did.

Talk to us.

Write in your own words. A sentence is enough, and you do not have to have it organized first. That is the part we do.

If this is where you are

I know it’s over. I just don’t know where to start.

If that sentence is yours, you’re in the right place.

Most people walk into that first meeting with a folder of confusion and a $270-an-hour clock already running. Plenty of them were up at 2 a.m. the night before, searching, coming out more confused than they went in. That’s not a you problem. You’ve never done this before.

And here’s the number nobody says out loud: a divorce with lawyers on both sides averages $15,000 to $20,000. (Martindale-Nolo’s national survey, 2019. That is pre-pandemic, so read it as a floor rather than a current figure.) Those are expensive hours. Every one you spend untangling yourself out loud in a lawyer’s office is billed at the same rate as the ones spent actually protecting you. Clarity is the small piece that makes the expensive part work better.

You don’t need to have it together to start. That’s what the conversation is for.

How it works

Here’s the whole thing.

  1. You talk to a team member of your choice. About thirty minutes, by phone or video. No homework required. There’s a short optional form if writing things down first helps you — or skip it and just talk. Come exactly as tangled as you are.

  2. Our team member and our proprietary software work through it, together. We listen first. Then we go back through everything you said. Not to tidy it up. To find what’s buried in it: the ask you circled three times without ever naming, the worry underneath the worry, the practical questions your own story is begging you to ask. None of it gets decided for you. It gets brought to the surface, where you can finally see it.

  3. You get two things back, the same day. Your story — clear, in your own words, with your real asks named. And a one-pager for the professional you’ve booked.

That’s it. There is no step four.

Dusan

Who does this

I’ve sat where you’re sitting.

I’m Dusan. I built ThroughLine Clarity because I watched people walk into that first meeting scared and scattered, paying for hours they were too overwhelmed to use. One honest conversation the day before changes that. That’s the whole idea, and it’s the only thing I do.

How we listen

Say the ugly part out loud.

Most people arrive having already edited themselves. They have decided which parts make them sound bitter, or naive, or like a bad parent, and they have quietly cut those parts out. Those are usually the parts that matter.

You will not be assessed here. Nobody is deciding whether you were right, whether you should have left sooner, or whether you are handling it well. We are not keeping score and there is no version of you that gets a better outcome. Be furious, be unsure, change your mind halfway through. Cry if it comes. None of it is a problem and none of it is unusual.

And you do not have to carry it politely. If you need to put down something heavy before you can think straight, put it down. That is not a detour from the work. Most of the time it is the work, because the thing you cannot say is often the thing your whole situation is organised around.

What you say here stays here. We do not discuss your situation with anyone outside the person you spoke to. Nothing you tell us is sold, shared, published, or used as an example. Your story is not content and it never becomes one.

One honest limit, because you deserve a real answer rather than a comfortable one: we are not your lawyer, so this is not legal privilege. What we give you is discretion, kept properly. If a matter needs the protection only a lawyer can give, we will tell you that instead of pretending otherwise.

Who you can talk to

You choose who hears your story.

Different people have come apart in different ways. Pick whoever you think will understand yours fastest. None of us will make you explain twice.

Jennileen

Jennileen

I came apart from a long partnership before our kind of relationship was allowed to be a marriage. There was no filing, no decree, nothing on paper, and it was still a separation, with a home and a life to divide. If your ending doesn’t have a legal name, or if you are dreading having to explain your relationship before you can explain your problem, you can talk to me. I already know the shape of it.

Rosa

Rosa · español y inglés

I have been through a divorce myself. I work in Spanish and in English, so you are welcome to tell me your story in whichever language you actually think in. It matters more than you think it does. The details you leave out because a word won’t come are usually the ones worth keeping.

What you get

You walk out with two things.

An organized one-page document your lawyer can read in sixty seconds, and a longer document that’s just for you. Neither is advice. Both are your own situation, untangled — what you want, what you don’t, and what to ask. Here’s the one for the room:

And this one’s yours

Your clarity report

Your storyeverything you said, woven into one clear story with a beginning, a middle, and a next step.
Your real asksthe living situation, the money, the kids: what you want, what you don’t want, and what you’re still not sure of.
Questions for your lawyerthe ones your own story raised, ready to ask in the room where the clock is running.
What to bringthe documents your first meeting will actually ask for.

What we are, and aren’t

We’re not your lawyer. We’re the reason your lawyer works.

We work alongside your lawyer or mediator, never against them. We never tell you what to do, never predict how your case will go, and never draft a legal document. Every real decision belongs to the professional in the room with you.

What we do: we make your voice stronger and clearer. You walk in knowing your real asks, holding the questions worth asking, and the expensive hours are more likely to be spent on answers instead of untangling. And once your report is in your hands, we have nothing left to sell you.

If you are in danger right now, this is not the thing you need. Call 911. The National Domestic Violence Hotline is 1-800-799-7233, or text START to 88788, and they are there around the clock, free, in more than 200 languages. Come back to us when you are safe. We will still be here.

Your privacy

Gone within 14 days.

A team member of your choice does the interview. Our proprietary software, the same tool from step two, helps him turn what you said into your report. Within 14 days of delivering it, the recording and the transcript are deleted. We keep the window that long so we can re-send your report if you lose it, and no longer.

Two things we want you to read in plain words: we may learn from de-identified patterns — what helps people, what questions keep coming up — to make this better for the next person. And your identifiable story is never sold, and never used to train external AI models. Patterns, not people. Your name, your details, your marriage — those go when the transcript goes.

This site doesn’t track you: no site analytics, no cookies, no pixel following you around later.

Where we are

We’re new. That’s why you pay after.

No inflated numbers, no borrowed testimonials. If this helps you, tell someone. If it doesn’t, keep your money. That’s the deal, and it’s the most honest one we could build.

Fair questions

The questions you should be asking.

Is this legal advice? +
No. We untangle and lay out your own information so you can use your lawyer or mediator well. We don’t give legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship is formed.
What happens to my recording? +
The recording and the transcript are deleted within 14 days of your report being delivered. We keep them that long so we can re-send your report if you lose it. After that, the only record of your conversation is the report in your hands. The privacy section above is the full promise, including what we keep in de-identified form.
What if it doesn’t help? +
You don’t pay. You decide after you’ve read your report, not before. Nothing is charged up front, so there’s nothing to refund and nothing to argue about.
Why isn’t this free? +
Because a real person spends real hours with you, and the untangling is real work. A free version of this would be a form and an algorithm: nobody across the table, nothing surfaced. And paying after means we only earn it if it worked.
Who is Dusan? +
The person who’ll do your interview. He built this after watching people struggle through the exact week you’re in. You can read more above.

One conversation. Then you’re ready.
